Description: Macadamia Oil is a fantastic regenerative oil. It is high in mono-unsaturated fatty acids, contains Palmitoleic acid (promotes young soft skin), as well as omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. It has been successfully used to help heal scars and sunburns and is considered Very safe with uses in facial and baby products. It is ideal for mature and dry skin as this slowly absorbed oil helps retain the skin moisture.
Colour: Clear, Light to Golden yellow
Common Uses: Excellent for body massage and also is products designed to protect the skin against weather and wind such as hand creams. It is often used in anti-wrinkle products such as oil blends, creams, ointments, balms and lotions. This oils is not recommended for oily, acne prone or large-pored skin as it can clod pores.
Consistency: Mobile liquid, slighter, thicker than typical carrier oils.
Absorption: Very slowly absorbed into the skin.
Shelf life: Users can expect a shelf life of 24 months with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
